Felicitations!!!!!! How fantastic for you guys! I'm so happy for you both. Being able to fulfill a dream like this takes so much hard work and perseverance but the payoff is...........fulfilling your dream!
I'm sending you both kisses and hugs and am jumping up and down with happiness for you. Really hope we can visit your Paris pied-a-terre in the fall (won't you love saying that, Parisian pied-a-terre!! ;D)

Oh Annette, how wonderful! We are all so thrilled for you (and, no doubt, living vicariously through you!). ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D I have been waiting with fingers crossed and am so happy to hear it's all come out right. October is out of the question for me, unfortunately - middle of the school year and all. I'm sure the crowd will be substantial enough without me, and hopefully I'll see your dream-come-true someday! In the meantime, I'll echo everyone else's anticipation of the soon-to-be-posted photos. Hint, hint. ;D

Now, I trust that the offer of the spare room holds as true for your pied-a-tierre as it did for your spare room in CA!! LOL!

Suzanne, hope you missed that bad storm in France. Reports on the radio said there were some fierce winds in the Paris streets. Looking forward to reading your reports. -Lilia

Annette, A Huge Congratulations!
I am so green with envy and even more so after reading the description of the neighborhood.
Yesterday while I having a phone conversation with a friend. I told her about you buying the apartment and how envious I was.
Her response-Are they French? My reply-No Her Response-Why would anyone want to buy an apartment in Paris if they are not French?
I'm thinking-She so does not get it.

Wow, Annette, that location sounds just about perfect! Den just said to tell you that he's really envious, but in a nice way! You own an apartment in Paris ~ I bet you will never, ever get sick of saying that.
Congratulations once again, you are living the dream of so many of us OPFers and we are all so happy for you.
Jo (hey, we are in Paris from September 24 so we may still be able to check out your new digs if we get an invite!)

That was fantastic - nice building and you are very close to the main Boulangerie Kayser and a roving market on Place Monge. Just took a peek at your street and that Cafe Ecoliers seems quite small and if it closes at 6 pm, there won't be any noise. I also saw your boulangerie/patisserie across the street. WOW!!! I am so happy for you both (I didn't realize that you went with your friend and not Darryl)! If there is no October housewarming, we will be arriving in Paris on September 28 - hope you are still furnishing and decorating then and maybe if Jo and Den get an invite, we might tag along for a quick look! The place is in a great location. I love the windows and you will be high enough to be airy and light. Congratulations again! bisous, Lilia

Oh so fabulous, Annette! I love your street, your building, your balconies... well, you get the idea! You did very well, and aren't you glad you waited for "the one?" I know you're living everyone's dream, but I have a secret, shameful confession to make. My dream is an apartment in Nice, and to be able to hop on the train to VISIT Paris anytime I want. No smiting, please. ;D As much as I love Paris ( and I do, I really do), being a Florida girl and having spent considerable time in Nice, it's just a better fit for me in terms of climate and geography. Plus, it's more affordable. The good news? You'll all have a buddy to visit in the warm, sunny south when you grow tired of your apartments in cold, rainy Paris. Or you would, if I won the lottery. Hey, we are talking dreams, right? Anyway, congratulations Annette!
