We were in that neck of the woods on Friday. Stared with breakfast at Delman's and then a long stroll throught the Jardens De Plante followed by some souvenier shopping on Rue Mouffatard. We discovered a secret garden with an Irish church in it.

Annette - I haven't googled your apt. yet since my computer is acting weird, and the only thing I've been able to do so far is click onto OPF, which isn't such a bad thing because I've really enjoyed reading about all the goodies that are in your neighborhood. I'm restraining myself from further jumping up and down lest Paris experience some more stormy weather. ;D Penny - So glad to see you again !!! I certainly hope we don't have to wait for someone else to buy an apt. before you post again, my dear. As much as I'd love another member to be able to experience Annette's excitement, this is obviously not one of those things that will happen on a daily basis.

I actually saw your building !! What a great area. We loved all the transportation options and had a nice lunch and dinner at a few bistros on rue des Ecoles. The people in that pharmacy right across from the Minerve were really pleasant to deal with.
What fun to haver to completely furnish a new apartment. Houseware shops watch out!! Here she comes.

Wow, you are nearby the arènes de Lutèce! It will be such an easy rental, now we will have to have our kitchen renovated if we want to kept up with the Joneses! LOL.

Sorry, Luc, but we cannot feel sorry for you since your apt. has the most delightful garden. That garden really is to die for, especially when you're sipping champagne, eating strawberries and having the most delightful conversation with a wonderful host. ;D Jo

Very, very well done Annette, that is in just the right place and would appear to be on the correct floor. you certainly share the best balcony. I am pleased and envious at the same time.
I must make a point of walking down rue Monge when I visit next month, pity I'm getting too flamin' old to do the cat burglar game and shin up the drainpipe beside the little balcon ;D ;D

Annette - Since your neighborhood seems to have just about everything one needs, organizing the big fall party should be a cinch. The invitation can read: BYOG (= Bring Your Own Goodies), and each guest can pick up something at the last moment on his/her way up to your flat. ;D

I'm getting better as time goes on, Annette, but I still use that site on a very regular basis! The guy delivering fuel for our boiler was somewhere between amused and impressed when I pulled it up to pay for the delivery.
You'll find you probably won't write many cheques, as most vendors accept cards.

Excellent Annette, that looks in very good condition, but I guess you have better ideas. Would love to see the finished product.
By the way your bag wasn't big enough to snaffle M le Notaires desk was it ;D ;D ;D that would fit a corner very well.

The kitchen cabinets look quite nice, but if you want something better, I have absolutely no objections. Can't wait to see the place after the remodeling. It's going to be a gem.

Now I see the floor plan. Excellent ! A perfect square......just the way I like a floor plan to be.
