Guns, blanks..........!?! My goodness! Anyway, your pups are darlings, Parisbound. After being introduced to so many forum pets, I've come to the conclusion that there's some correlation between loving Paris and loving doggies and kitties.

Great looking cats and dogs. Our three cats are currently racing around to try to get me off the computer and downstairs to feed them.

That is so cool Ian, I love alsatian/german shepards, I was brought up from a baby with them. I would love to have one but our house is too small. Great picture, thanks for sharing. ;D

ian - wow, you are a sexy guy ! What is it with us women and uniforms ? Speaking of Alsatians, in 2005 I went to the parades on Champs Elysées at 14th July, and there was this big company of some rescue-mountain-something-soldiers-troopers (hmmmm...... wouldn't know, but they sure were HANDSOME) each with an Alsatian at his side. I felt so sorry for the dogs as it was incredibly hot, and they had to stand still totally exposed to the sun. They did give them water though or else it would have been animal abuse. Still you would have liked to see them, I think.

Okay, I have to join in with the animal pictures (love the ones above!), although my attempts to resize to "normal dimensions" have not been very effective as yet. Here is the trio who shared my life for many years, taken when two were in their grandparent stage and one was an adolescent (from the left, Sasha, Sherman and Sadie): Sadie (below) is still with us, now aged 13 (loves the pet sitter so much, she doesn't really mind when we travel):

becky - your cats are very sleek and elegant !! A bit too skinny for my taste, as I am more into Blue Russian, British Shorthair, Maine Coone - you know, BIG plump kitties, that you can hug and squeeze and caress (until they get tired and give you the "high-five" with claws out.....) I would be afraid to break the bones in those fragile creatures of yours. Resizing pictures is not that difficult, regardez: www.resize2mail.com/

Gitte -- the two outside bookends of the trio are Russian Blues (my all time favorite breed). The one of Sadie looks a little thin only because she was at the time a growing girl and always on the move (couldn't have gained weight if she had tried!). I got Sadie because Sasha (my first RB) was such a total delight -- lots of personality and very talkative but also quite friendly, and very smart (sort of like the best Siamese, but without that unpredictable weird streak you sometimes find in Siamese). I've always loved the look of the Maine Coons, but never actually had a chance to get to know one.

This picture was his Halloween photo (devil horns, not antlers!), but he does on occasion pull sleds for my nieces! He gets fed odds and ends..the gas meter reader, pesky religous fanatics that knock on the door, and odd garden destroying rabbit or two, and some loud neighbors on occasion. His favorite treat however is a carob chip cookie...go figure!

becky - I am surprised that your cats are Blue Russians ? the ones I have seen are much fatter - you know, more round at the edges. Still - yours are very smart. The types I could imagine promenading around in Truffauts antique boutique !

Willow - Our cat Muffy has weird food and drink preferences. He wishes he could drink my coffee and eat my diet yogurt.
