So... One goes away for a couple of weeks and see what happens... Hopefully I will have more time in the near future to continue participating! If the forum works we could even consider putting together a hotel reservation system for Paris, a tour company, make lots of money, Take over Expedia and... Own TA ;D However, nice seeing (reading) you guys again!

This is taking me a while to figure out, but once I get the hang of it, I'm sure I'll be back to being the chatterbox that I've become on the other forum.

Shoesy - there aren't always people in the chatroom. Sometimes I just pop in an see if anyone is around. But more often than not - they aren't. I am online right now and so is mrs holger.

I think live chat is a little harder on an international basis . . . . right now, it's 4:30 p.m. where I am (San Francisco) but the middle of the night where many others are (and vice versa), so "never the twain shall meet" (well, hardly ever . . .)

It's morning for me, and I've just popped in to try to once again familarize myself with the format of this forum. I'm very inexperienced with anything more sophisticated than TA, so this is definitely going to take me some time. I love challenges, though.

I forgot to say "hi" to all of you who greeted me, so "hello to all of you across the globe".

Truffant:
I am very much enjoying this site and as soon as I get just a little more computer literate, I'll like it so much more! I LOVED the museum article. I also really enjoyed the recipe section. You can bet that I will try to bake some (or All) of the recipes. It looks like so much fun. So far, there hasn't been anything that I didn't like, except navigating around the site and thats my problem. You guys are miles ahead of me on you knowledge of Paris, I'm just along for the wonderful ride. I've only been to Paris 11/2 times (illness) so I'm like a sponge. I will read everything. Even though I may not reply or add much input, you can bet that I'm reading EVERYTHING! Thank-you all for your very hard work. SusanB

Hi Gitte - well I get to spend a week in Paris. That's exciting in itself - lol. The rest is just cream on top. I'm travelling solo but ended up booking an apartment - the hotel reviews were doing my head in - and for those of you that followed the thread on TA, I don't plan on bringing a colander. I'm still sorting through my 'to-do' list. It keeps changing because everyone is offering great suggestions. My only other time in Paris was a very long 13 years ago, so it will be great to finally get back there. Don't worry - as I get closer to the date, I'm sure to have many a question for you all.

Hi HappyGoin ! My arm seems to be improving. There are some movements/positions that I still find a bit tough, but I can't really complain because I'm sure that I'll be experiencing a full recovery in no time.

I agree, Cybee. I can imagine the places that tour groups probably have to eat, due to space constraints. I know that some people are just not as adventurous and like the security of a tour, but boy! they're not for this girl.
