Hi everyone! I am close to booking this place in the 12th for my budget solo trip in May (ff miles and as cheap as I can get it!). www.homelidays.co.uk/paris-12/studio-217343en1.htmI thought that it looks almost too good to be true...340 euros for 6 nights!!! And it looks new..internet and ac! So far the owner seems responsive (in French, part of the reason I'm going on this trip is to improve my French) It's close to both the Reuilly Diderot and Nation metro stops...I seem to gravitate to that part of Paris! Anyway, it's available for my dates so I'm just awaiting the rental details, and I asked for the address so that I can google it...that price seems fabulous though, don't you think?!

Sis, it looks GREAT! Really clean, and a good price, too! What are your dates for May? We'll be there with our friends from the 21st onward.

Thanks Annette! That was my first thought...it looks new and clean, which often isn't the case for something so cheap! I can stand small, just as long as it's clean!
I arrive on May 5th and leave the 11th, so it looks like I'll miss you this time...but hopefully YOUR solo trip will be a success so perhaps we'll connect some other time...I will keep my fingers crossed for you!

I'm with you--small is doable...but not unless it's super clean! Too bad we'll miss you in May. Have you gotten the address for this apartment yet?

"Small" ? Everything is relative. Compared to my itsy-bitsy hotel room, that place is huge ! As for travel dates, I, personally, am very satisfied with yours, Sis. ;D

Looks great , Sis! You are going to have such fun on your own. I'd try it but David would sulk for a month if he missed out on a trip to Paris!

I'd try it but David would sulk for a month if he missed out on a trip to Paris! I wonder if David and Darryl are related?! hehe The sulking has started big time around here!!! He can't take off work right now because of some major deadlines, otherwise he'd be going too.

Well, Jim is in Japan and doesn't even know that I've formally set the date (although he knows that I have been talking about it) I'm sure that he'll be happy to have a week of solitude to do whatever he wants! ;D Of course I'll have to pay penance and bring him back lots of treats!
I haven't heard back from the owner on the address, Annette...just the initial email telling me the price and that it's available. But from the (bad) map on the ad, I'm assuming that it's on a side street between Reuilly-Diderot and Nation, which is convenient.

You notice that Jody didn't say that she thought David would miss her, but that he would be mad that he missed a trip to Paris!! HA! But I'm sure that David would miss her and Darryl will miss Annette and Shlomo will miss you...and despite the peace and QUIET, I know that Jim will be happy to see me upon my return. Absence does make the heart grow fonder sometimes!

Ah Ha!!! I guess trips to Japan don't hurt in that department!!!1 Oh this is all PPD talking..I'm actually talking myself into relaxing and enjoying what my City has to offer..and I'm lucky that there are quite a few French touches here! (Because I just don't have the vacation time! ) S/O will just have to come here......

;D Denise, I didn't realize that you will be there the whole month of May! I hope that we can meet while I'm there. I haven't heard anything from the owner of that apartment in the 12th. So to be on the safe side, I just inquired about this one: www.parisholidays.fr/en/index.htmlI think that I might like the location even better! I will keep you all posted.
