I am only 5 days away! I have the Paris 10 day weather forecast on my homepage so that I know how to pack and I have been reading everything that all of you have been writing and I just can't wait to get there.

Happy, I hope I'm serious! I've been every Sept. for my B'day since 1993. Personal circumstances(and employment) have changed though since so that's why I've been delaying buying the ticket waiting for the fares to change. But I'd like this nailed down.

Geordy, When is your birthday? My husband's is September 15th and it will be hus 75th and is the reason for our trip this year. I haven't done an exact count of the days but it is a bit over three months as we leave August 26th.

Geordy! That is great you have been going to Paris every year since 1993~ ! I can only wish! I am unclear as to precise date of my next trip..but it will be in 2008. I am waiting to see what my daughter is going to do. She is thinking of teaching (?) in France and so if she does, I will work my schedule around hers! If she doesn't , well, I will go anyway! Holger, what a lovely way to spend your husband's birthday! Celebrating in Paris is the best ! My brother celebrated his 50th in France and I plan to do the same ! (if not on the precise date...oh, well!). So glad you both love to travel! I'm still loving your avatar!

Thanks Shoesy, I am so excited! I have this project for work that I must finish and it is so hard to concentrate. I can't wait to get to the apartment in Montmartre and to go to the restaurants that have been recommended. There is something about Paris that gives me energy - I can walk/wander forever there. I have not seen and done as much there as most in this forum, but I have fallen for Paris in a big way.

My B'day is the 12th. I went in "93 to celebrate 40 so you all can do the math!!! But I must say celebrating every year after in Paris has taken the sting out of getting older!!

I'm thinking about amending a beach trip in Feb. to include a stop over in Paris. This may take some research!

I know how you feel Ray! I planned a trip to Baja Mexico for this summer, right around the time we planned our winter trip to Paris. It seemed like a good idea at the time! I've never been to Mexico so I am excited...but living on this board has made me miss Paris so much, I need to plan my next trip soon!
As for your trip...how about a beach vacation to the French Riviera??

Sistereurope, First I'll have to check the ave. monthly temps. for Nice-Cannes. I just took a 1st look at flights from home to Paris, to St. Marteen to home. That is probably what I'll try first. There is a site called locogringo.com that we used to find a beach house for the Mexican Riviera. You might want to check it out.

geordy...my birthday is Oct 1 and I go every year for my birthday too. Last year was my 40th, and I've been doing the birthday thing for quite a while. I can only hope I get to do it for the next 12 years too!!!
