Good luck on your move, Jody! I hate moving!! It's a lot of hard work, mostly because I'm such a pack rat!!! Wish I lived closer and I would help you - are you moving very far from where you live now??

Wow, sounds like a permanent vacation, Jody!!
I'll try to post some live Paris reports over the next few weeks. I don't expect us to set the world on fire tho--this trip will include lots of sitting around. Darryl keeps telling me all he's going to do is sit in a park and read. So the reports might not be too exciting! LOL

Have a great time Annette. Hope you have wonderful weather.
Geordy, wish I could come to NYC but I'm saving my pennies for Paris.
Jody, I'd move there just for the dinners. Not to mention the cleaning. Wow. Sounds great.

Annette--
If your husband has not been to the Musée des Arts et Métiers, I recommend it. We did not go this last trip but have been there. One section should be of great interest to any architect, as would the classic buildings in the Auteuil quartier (16e).
Also see if (unlikely) the Chagall has been extended.
Hope the entry door has been repaired.

Late to the party but I am sure Annette is enjoying her Paris pad. :-)
Jody, your new place looks great but moving is always a pain.
I am currently living between 2 places - my place had a burst pipe and flooded. Loads of damage and mess to clear. It's been a stressful few weeks.
I need a trip to focus on.

Hi folks, I know it is a long time since I dropped by and actually it was quite difficult to log in again. For that reason I sometimes have just dropped in occasionally as an observer. and not commented.
Nice to see such familiar faces still here.
Even though this forum has evolved into something other than the vision of the originator I feel that is still valid.
Sorry to read that the future of this forum is under threat. Personally I have made a lot of long lasting friendships here. People who I now count amongst my best friends and who give me such support in my life. From this forum we met in person, in Paris of course, our friendships flourished and I have visited them in their own countries and they have visited me in mine..... and some of these people I am now very close to.
I find this new phenomena of social media, incredible. From writing trip reports here I have moved on to the blogging world and this forum will always have a place in my heart
It would be such a pity if this forum finished.
Mez,.... hope your difficulties are resolved soon and you can get on with the important business of planning a trip.
Love Denise
