I haven't been to Paris in 18 months, the longest time between trips in the last 10 years! (I've been lurking here but not posting because I haven't been happy about this situation!) If everything works out, still waiting to hear from the apt owner, I will be in Paris from April 8th to 29th, give or take a day depending on airfares.
So! I'm thinking I'd like to take two 3 day trips away from Paris and I'm leaning toward Lyon for one of them. For the second trip, I'm open to suggestions from you kind folks. I'd like a direct train not more than three hours from Paris, two hours would be even better. Thanks for your help!

Yay! I'm sure Paris has been missing you, Darcy! Darryl and I visited Bruges on our last trip and loved it--we spent one night, but 2 would have been better

Can 't recommend a specific place as we stayed at a vineyard bettween the 2! but we did stay in Lyon just down from the rail station at a very nice hotel. Lyon has lots of interesting places.I loved the decorative arts museum and David liked the war museum. The silk factory weaving tour was great The hiill that works and the hill that prays! and the new town with the painted walls !I think I was confused it;s beaune and Dijon not Lyon and the others!! It was wine time . Why don't you come visit Winter Park>>>

Can someone tell me how to delete the ticker on my posts? I see how to set up a new one but not how to get rid of one. Thanks!

So glad for you Darcy - I hope the apartment that you want works out.
I'm not sure about the ticket - maybe if you do a new one, the old one is automatically deleted?

Darcy, to remove your ticker, just click on "Profile" then "Modify Profile" at the top, then delete the entire link that is in your "Signature" box. Check to be sure that the word "ticker" appears in the box as I am varying degrees of less than 100% sure of anything on computers.

It's a great apartment - and the landlords are very kind and generous.

Congrats on your upcoming trip! You don't have long to wait at all! I love this apartment but I took it off my list because I thought someone here said the owners were no longer renting it because it was up for sale.

You're right, Mez, it is for sale and I'm so happy and grateful that Pierre and Evelyne let me rent it for my time in Paris.
