Well, if we all pool our funds...and establish a timeshare sort of thing...wait!...didn't we already have this discussion?? If only...

We have been to Lyon twice for a few days each time and enjoy it very much. Stayed at what is now an Accor which we found comfortable and well situated. Great breakfasts.
Like the apartment in Paris which reminds me of one Gitte stayed in. Is there a site for the sale? Would be curious about the price.
Have a great time.

It IS the apartment that Gitte stayed in. I think the owners offered her the apartment for free because they enjoyed her blog so much. I think it's in a great location and seems to be a charming place on a lovely street. Enjoy it!

Still would like the sale site to see what they are asking. While it isn't a large apartment is well planned and I can always dream.

You're right, Mez, it is for sale and I'm so happy and grateful that Pierre and Evelyne let me rent it for my time in Paris. I meant that it's been on the market for a long time. It's at least a year or close to two since I removed the place from my list. As a rental it looks good. I wonder why it's not selling?

Oh Darcy that is good news...I'm so happy for you! I missed one nite & day in Lyon once due to an incident at JFK and missed flight..have to get back some day. Stayed I think at Grand Corona on the banks of one of the rivers in the new part but a short walk up to olde! Been doing similar short stays recently, Rennes and Quimper, Tours, then there is always Anne's part of France, or Rheims..visited 5 Champagne Houses there on a 3 nite stay once with a day train trip to Eperney thrown in! Hope it all works out!

Happy for you Darcy!!! I loved Burgundy and Epernay and they are both a day trip away. Also loved Lyon.
