You know, seeing celebs in public is a funny thing. Whenever I see someone famous, they look so different and regular, that I think they LOOK like the celeb...but of course, it can't be them!

I've always been able to recogize them for who they are! Saw Princess Diana ad the 2 princes at lunch at La Famiglia, then a few days later Prince Michael of Kent with someone other than his wife there. Rode up an elevator in Chicage with George Gobel and was in line behind Perry Como at the Pittsburgh airport waiting for a taxi!
Also sat next to NIcole Kidman and Tom Cruise one night also at a Famiglia. I guess that's a good place to people spot!

Geez Jody...you're going to get a reputation as a celeb stalker at the rate you're going! Here's my paltry entry: I saw Willard Scott at the Atlanta airport once. My one big celeb sighting and I thought it was Wilford Brimley

And I once saw Hilary Swank at CDG, and I even went up to her and spoke to her.

Hmm...Angelina and the kids were in Moscow when I was in Moscow. Now she turns up in Paris... who's watching who, here?

Hmm...Angelina and the kids were in Moscow when I was in Moscow. Now she turns up in Paris... who's watching who, here? You better watch out, Sunshine! Maybe it's not her doing the watching Happy, funny--Darryl did see Wilford Brimley once. We sat next to Rhea Perlman at a restaurant in Mammoth one night. Also had a very nice conversation with a "reluctant celebrity" in Paris last May--Elizabeth Smart. Sounds like Jody has us all beat in the celebrity sighting category! Oh yeah, we saw Gérard Depardieu at Josephine Chez Dumonet earlier this year, too.

In May my wife and I were seated in a metro car on the right bank facing a very tall man (whose legs strenched out into the corridor) and his wife/girlfriend. He looked familiar, and when he asked my wife if this was the metro line to get to Saint German des Pres, his Slavic accent gave him away. My my wife whipped out her metro map and showed former the 7-foot-plus LA Laker basketballer Vlade Divac and his friend how to get where they wanted to go. See en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vlade_Divac

Vlade Divac I guess I'm not a big enough fan of basketball. Now Michael Jordan or Larry Bird I might have recognized (Hmmm maybe I'm showing my age? )

The name "Divac" is actually familiar to me , though not from the NBA, but from his earlier years in Partizan Belgrade, one of the teams that used to play against Maccabi Tel-Aviv in the Euroleague.

Vlade Divac I guess I'm not a big enough fan of basketball. Now Michael Jordan or Larry Bird I might have recognized (Hmmm maybe I'm showing my age? ) Most of his NBA career was in California, and the most productive time was with the LA Lakers. However, he has become somewhat of a sportsman-advocate since retiring. He told us he still "lives" in the LA area but travels a lot.

He's the one: "In 1987, with Divac, Ðorðeviæ, Paspalj and Obradoviæ, and Dušan Vujoševiæ at the helm, Partizan had a "dream team", which took the Yugoslavian league title, but failed to reach the Euroleague top the next season, having lost to Maccabi Tel Aviv from Israel in the semi-finals in Belgian Ghent."

Well since we are doing sports figures...Joe NAmath and Jack Youngblood! Youngblood lives near us and he is still hot.
Ross Perrot was my neighbor in Dallas. Charlie Pride and Lee Trevino lived around the corner and I saw them all the time.
