I will be in Paris in an apartment in the 9th from March 16-30, 2009. I do overlap with Denise and Suzanne and we have been planning a breakfast on the 23rd together. As that is the day of your arrival while we would be delighted to have you joinus it might be too much after a long trip. So would love to get together with you for a drink or a meal at your convenience. Just let me know and I can also see if Suzanne and Denise are available.

Mimi - Here's another 2 bedroom with a bathtub and shower near the Place des Vosges that I had considered before selecting a 2 bedroom with 2 baths. I had a very pleasant exchange of email with the owner. Also thought the off-street location was a plus as well as prior renter comments. www.vrbo.com/15502Jo Hey Jo, We just rented this one for next September. Your post led me to it, so thanks! Jo

Annette, have you looked at Paris Vacation Apartments? They have beautiful 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom places in Place des Voges, Palais Royale and St Germain de Pres. They were a little too expensive for our budgets, but they get wonderful reviews and their places look absolutely beautiful.
Good luck on your hunt, it's half the fun!

From what I've read, they book up very far in advance and they have lots of repeat clients. I wouldn't think having 4 adults in a 2 bedroom apartment should be a problem, their places look very spacious.
What about the place you rented with your friends in the Marais? Didn't it have 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms? It sounded wonderful from your review.
Apartment hunting........half the fun and half the frustration!

Perfectlyparis has a number of really nice two bedroom apartments and a few have two bathrooms which is really great for 4 people. Their web site indicates availability for each apartment.
Happy hunting.

Annette, this is the apartment I was going to rent last month but it was already booked. I like that is has two bathrooms as well as 2 bedrooms. It makes getting ready to go out so much easier, and even more so when there are two couples. Have a look: www.vacationinparis.com/apts/id_217.htm

Not sure if these two places have ever been featured here before, but we have stayed in both. In the Marais, on rue des Archives, just a couple of blocks north of BHV: www.homeaway.com/vacation-rental/p210013Two bedrooms, two baths, a small living room, a big dining room, and a wonderful kitchen. The master bedroom overlooks the courtyard and has an ensuite bathroom with shower; the second bedroom, which overlooks rue des Archives, is actually a bit more spacious. (I though that there would be a bit of street noise in that room, but it was actually quite quiet at night.) The main bath, with a huge tub, is just a few feet from the bedroom door. The second place, owned by the same people, is on rue des Petits Champs in the first, just a couple of blocks east of avenue de l'Opéra: www.holiday-rentals.co.uk/France/holiday-apartment-Paris/p66709.htmThis flat is a grander affair, as you can see from the photos. The master bedroom has an ensuite with shower. There is a bathroom and tub across the hall from the second bedroom. The study, which is an extension beyond the living room, has a fold out bed which sleeps two. There are sliding doors between the living room and study, and there are heavy curtains in the study, so it can be used as a third bedroom. A word about the owners: we have dealt with them three times over the past few years. They are both journalists who live in London and work for US networks. They have been completely reliable, and they have a wonderful bilingual representative in Paris.

Suzanne--looks like the posts were deleted. A new poster with some serious issues! Totally disconnected sentences, if you would call them sentences...maybe strings of unrelated words would be more appropriate terminology. Yes, Paris oven if the shuttle sidewalk brother flattens microchip ball... LOL
Newsflash: I have 6 DAYS TILL PARIS! ;D ;D ;D
