I've had two trips that were scheduled and cancelled due to hardships and timing. Now a friend found tickets for only $500 rnd trip air france boston to paris. Her SO will be joining us so we thought if we could find an apartment in maybe the 4-5-6-7 It must have two bedrooms but I've been looking getting bleary eyed as we hope for one $2000 a week at the most but the problem is, everyone I found had only a shower. One of the two others wants a full tub. Any suggestions?

Mimi - Here's another 2 bedroom with a bathtub and shower near the Place des Vosges that I had considered before selecting a 2 bedroom with 2 baths. I had a very pleasant exchange of email with the owner. Also thought the off-street location was a plus as well as prior renter comments. www.vrbo.com/15502Jo

I just did a search on ParisAttitude.com and found lots! I'm not sure how your tastes run, but I plugged in "short term rental", 1000-1500€ a week, 2 bedrooms, and 4, 5, 6, & 7 arr.--and of the first 10 that came up, 8 of them had tubs. Here's an example: www.parisattitude.com/apartment.asp?numProduit=461

thanks Judy, I forward them to her. So far everything I sent her was either to far out, or stairs too narrow or no elevator and at least 20 were booked.

I found mine on 1800flyeurope.com. I've used them before with good results, so I wondered if that's where your friend found yours. My trip isn't until October, so that may be why the discrepancy. Where is the connection with yours? We're flying AirFrance as well. We're staying in an apt on r. Duquesne, just behind the Ecole Militaire on the border of the 15th. I'm taking two newbies who are fairly dancing with excitement.
I'd recommend the apt to you, but it's a fifth floor walkup, which we don't mind but others would just hate. It fills your criteria otherwise, so have a look. It's VIP #219. Richard, who owns VIP said he visited it in January and that it's particularly lovely.

New York to Paris $202. plus taxes and all that other stuff. I cannot fly to New York for that price nor without a connection to make it feasible. ----- American Airlines Netsavers Save With These Low International Getaway Fares! These International Weekend Getaway Fares are valid for Economy Class travel next weekend and are available on AA.com. Fares must be ticketed no later than 11:59 p.m. (CT), Sunday, February 22, 2009. Depart anytime Tuesday, February 24, 2009, through Friday, February 27, 2009. Return anytime the following Monday through Wednesday. 2-day advance purchase is required. Which if there was availability you could have 7 nights in Paris. If it was from Dallas I could fly there for around $100., visit friends for a couple of days then fly out. But I've got to stop checking fares and hotels until I can afford to go. I can certainly understand about tub. That and price was my #1 criteria for my trip in 07

We finally settled on a place in the 6th, a little more than I hoped but at least I'll have my own bedroom. I fly direct from Boston. So if anyone wants to meet for a drink or lunch, arrive in Paris 23 and depart on the 30th.

That apt. looks lovely. I couldn't find the rate though. I've added it to my favorites in case we can ever get my cousin and his wife to Paris.
