Leslie - (Sigh).......Just the thought of that morning "cafe creme and croissant" is enough to make me envy you. Continue to enjoy Paris with your mom.

Yes, it was pretty neat! I am just on the net while my dinner is cooking and thought I'd take a look at the weather back home (I was thinking about my husband - I miss him) - Here is a link that shows Bowen Island shown from a spot in Vancouver. I don't live there anymore, but I still have some good friends who do. www.katkam.ca/The furthest piece of land to the far right of the screen is Bowen. Pop: about 3500 full time and 6000 in the summer! Hornby would be about half that amount. I know this has nothing to do with Paris, but it shows the whereabouts of the islands I was talking about and completes my story!

I hope you and your Mum are enjoying every minute in Paris!
I sent an email to Red Wheelbarrow about the book but haven't heard from them. Did they take awhile to reply to you as well?

Darcy~ If I remember correctly response was pretty quick. How long ago did you send it? She is one busy lady. Books are everywhere. Her "hold" pile is huge and a jumbled mess but somehow her fingers just know where to find it.
We are enjoying Paris, but this trip is very different from my last. Getting around is proving to be somewhat of an issue. Today we will go to the Louvre. We'll take a cab because there is so much walking to do before even going into the place! It's raining today, I bet the place will be packed. But we only have these 5 days left, so we must move forth - very slowly!
