andi, you take incredible photos. I wish randi would check in and see those. IMO there are some absolute master-shots among your collection of People Photos here. Congratulations. BTW I am totally flabbergasted (read: shocked) at your boldness ! That's why there are never any persons in my photos. I always thought it was forbidden to take other people's pictures ? Or that it could at least very easily earn you a blow to the nose ! But gheezus, andi ......... you simply walk right up to people and shoot ! ps. A word of warning: I am usually very cautious about taking pictures of children. If you trip over the wrong kind of parents or grannies they can go absolutely hysterical.

Gitte, Gaz took all those photo's and on one or two occassions he did almost get clocked taking them, but luckily we have a great zoom on our camera so we don't actually get as close as it seems The picture of the babies, I took, it was a tricky one because we so wanted to show just how many children were out in the parks, rather than like here in the UK stuck in doors on games consoles. The photo was taken at the side of Notre Dame and it was easy to take because I made it look like I was taking a side angled picture (Sneaky, I know)

This is a cool thread, Andi! It's fun looking at everyone thru your eyes....and trying to guess who people are and where they're from ("hmmm...that's a tourist....they must be honeymooners...cute old French couple....etc.)

I did the same as Annette. What fun! What a terrific cross-section of people you (Andi?) got. I especially love those handsome policemen

Andi, Looking at your photos brought back so many good memories for me. I was amazed at how comfortable so many in Paris were to just "chill out". A welcome change from the "go go" life we lead here.

I love this thread, andi! Thank you for all the wonderful pictures. I feel the same way as Gitte taking pictures. In fact, I take pictures (it seems) as an afterthought). My camera seemss to be not with me 90% of the time. I'm trying to change.

This is my only "Little People Watching" photo in Paris (as you can see, it is taken at quite a distance). Princess is gazing longingly at some older boys running in Place Gustave Toudouze kicking a football around.

Andi, what a great idea for a thread! Sorry there are so many, once I started, I couldn't stop! Near Eiffel Tower Gare du Nord Parc Monceau Marché Edgar Quinet Rue de Rosiers - street was closed to vehicle traffic in Sept 2006, for laying of cobblestones so butchers had to offload and carry meat from the truck parked on the next street Tuileries La Defense - I liked this area much more than I thought I would Musée Rodin The only difference between the two men is about 40 years! St Eustache Near Musée Picasso, a Swiss organization, I think Chapelle Expiatoire M. et Mme. de Marais admiring ivory in the 6ème Not in Paris but I liked the colors
