Andi - You are blessed to have such a lovely large family - I just love those "kids" of yours! Do they all get along with each other? .....Cat with cat? Dog with dog? Cats with dogs? And how does the cute little birdie fit in?

I would now like to introduce you to my darling nephew Snowball. Isn't he a cutie?

I see that Sandy's Paco seems to be as fond of his teddy bear as Snowball is of his little ducky.

Shoesy, Of course the kids made him "pose" for the picture like that. If you look closely to his eyes, he seems to be thinking: Please, don't let mum come in right now!! ;D
But he used to have a little duck too, one of those that once squeezed went: cuac cuac cuac! It made him crazy, he is a hunter dog.

Don't you just love all these cute family members? I would have them all. Shoesy, we are quite lucky with ours, Mischa came first and has always excepted any animal that came our way, she has even had a hamster running over her nose. When our old cat had kittens, she took care of them too, washing them and keeping them in line. Crawfy was from that first set of kittens, when his mum had her second set, Crawfy took care of them the same way. Treacle can be a bit funny with other animals but she's fine with our own. None of them bothered Darcy when we had her from a tiny kitten. When we took in Mo the cats were licking their lips all the time but he is a feisty one and defends himself well. The cats no longer bother with him at all.............all is peaceful in the home (there's just one problem - there's always an animal under your feet)

OK Shoesy...as requested, I will tell you all about our chickens... Well, first I have to say that I have a lovely cat named Jasmine. She's a female orange tabby, which I hear is a rare thing. I will try to get a picture and will post. I also don't have any pics of our chix...but they look pretty much like these: This is Buffy. She's a Buff Orrpington and the oldest and the mother hen: This is Midnight, an Austrolorp. She's the "slowest" of the bunch. (note: my daughter named most of our hens) This is our Barred Rock, Oreo: This is the prettiest of the bunch, Priscilla: We have two of these. They are the Easter Egg chickens, so called because they lay green eggs. Dirty White Bird and Snowball And last but not least, our Rhode Island Red, Red... And our eggs! ;D

Sis - I have exalted you for not " chickening" out ;D when I asked you to introduce us to your pets on this thread. What a fine collection you have! I'm glad they all have names, and such fine names at that. Thanks for the info. regarding Jasmine, your cat. We've had quite a few orange tabbies over the years, and it never occurred to me that female ones are rare, but now that I think about it, none of our females were orange. P.S. Your eggs are pretty too.

I'm so sorry about Sunny, shoesy!! Jasmine is our $2,000 cat...my husband rescued her about 10 years ago from the pound for free...but she's swallowed rubber bands TWICE and had to have emergency surgery both times. My husband FREAKS if he spots a stray rubber band anywhere in our house!!

Mon Bon Chien is a doggie bakery in the 15th arrondissement on Rue Mademoiselle. Here is a link to a commercial for Mon Bon Chien that apparently plays on Animal Planet in France. www.mon-bon-chien-paris.com/index.phpClick on the pink arrow that appears underneath "Paris, Capitale de l'Amour...des Chiens..."
