Lets see if I can remember how this photo loading works - this is Alice. Alice is a rather naughty cat who loves to scratch and bite but then just as quickly ( sometimes at the same time ) likes to climb all over me and demand that she be petted and pampered. She is a SPCA moggy who had a rough start in life but now lives in the lap of luxury . And who if she could talk would very much like paris as well

So fun to see everyone's pet! My shih tzu named Pansy needs a haircut before she gets HER picture taken and posted! Sadly , her highly delinquent barber seems to be typing on her laptop instead! Sacre bleu! But merci to the rest of you for showing your cuties..even if some of them..um...scratch! (seems I once posted a pic of Pansy on this forum before...long..long ago... (or is this a delirious dream I am recalling? )). Ah! Voila! I found the pic!

Pansy is a flowering beauty.!!!
Megan. I had a cat named cha-cha that looked like Alice. She would nap on a bowl on the dining room table much to the astonishments of guests.

Demarais - I understand your sentiments about your poor kitty being irreplaceable. The 2 cats in the photos above are the ones that spend some time in our house, eating and sometimes sleeping. We keep them separated from each other because they despise one another. There are a number of other cats that don't have house privileges, but we consider them to be ours because we feed them twice a day. Some of those cats are ginger as well. In fact, one them them, Sunny, was just killed last week when she was hit by a car. We're still grief-stricken over that incident. Sunny, like Muffy, was ginger and white. Mimi - I think Cha-Cha is an adorable name for a cat. I gotta remember that one for future use. Cybee - Did you know that Margaret Mitchell had originally named her heroine Pansy O'Hara? Her publisher convinced her to change the name to Scarlett.

Cigale
Cha cha sounds to have the same cheek as Alice (who has taken to sleeping in cars if windows are down so has had a couple of unexpected trips around town ) - Like all cats torties really do what they want when they want but torties seem to do it with 150% attitude !

Megan - Pretty little Alice definitely looks like she's thinking: "When am I going to go to Paris?" ;D

Shoesy, So sorry to hear about Sunny! Sadness. Sigh. That is a fascinating ort re Pansy almost being the name for the Scarlett O'Hara character! I just learned another interesting "pansy" fact from the book I am currently reading (Zookeeper's Wife). Author writes, "she especially liked pansies, the flowers with pensive faces (from the French pensée).." So voila...in a sense, Pansy has a french name, albeit I fear my Pansy is not pensive...at all!
Pansy: [Origin: 1490–1500; 1930–35 for def. 3; < MF pensée pansy, lit., thought, n. use of fem. of ptp. of penser to think < L pénsāre to weigh, consider. See pensive]

OK, I'll play. Here is Muppet, looking like a fairly normal cat: Now here is Muppet showing why the vet has put her on a very strict diet: (Fingers crossed that the photo insert will work...)

LN - Muppet is such a doll, and of course she's the luckiest "chat" on this forum because she lives in Paris. ;D

Cha Cha must have been related to Darcy's Mimi! I have a picture of Mimi sleeping in a bowl at Darcy's place!

Inverte - you have a very cool cat....... but I am not so sure I like your motto at ALL : >> oh to be back in Barcelona<< BARCELONA !!!! You are leaning dangerously towards a serious round of spanking for such a foul act of heresy, my lass..........

Demarais - When I first read your post, I thought the Mimi you were talking about was our Mimi (aka Cigalechanta) on the forum, so I couldn't figure out why you had a picture of her in a bowl. I guess I really need to slow down a bit when I read posts. ;D
