I agree that we don't have to wait 'till the last minute to log on, but it could be nice if we're all online at the given time.

I will be drinking some champers at 2:00 pm on May 24th. Since it is a Saturday and I'm computerless on weekends, I will just keep on drinking the champagne until it's gone. Maybe I will take a picture. Great idea! Thank you all!

going to the store Sat. for my sparkling wine. Chateau Ste. Michelle. so it will be properly chilled LOL now if I could get some "real" brie.

I'm in too. Saturday the 24th at 5:00 pm eastern time is perfect for me. Gotta love this forum - everyone drinking and chatting together. What a crew! Megan - Ka Mate Ka Mate Ka ora Ka Ora. I actually learned how to do that this year! One of the teachers at our school is an ex-Kiwi, and she does a whole unit about NZ for the kids, with the dance and those balls on strings (can't remember the name). We even had adminstration in the courtyard doing Ka Mate! It was a hoot. ;D

Sorry I'm confused now. Are we going for a toast at Annettes suggested times on the 24th May? If so, that's fine by me. And we all log in sometime before that so we son't crash the system.? ;D I'm now not working that night. (unless new grandchildren are being born, then I'm afraid toasting "our Paris" will be beyond the call of duty!) Denise Love from England

Can't we just make sure that we are logged in (or on, never sure whether it's in or on) during "x" time? That way, if Denise is giving birth or someone is sleeping/working/eating, etc, we'll still pull off a record?

Annette - what do all those "PDT, CDT, ART, BST, CEST's" etc. stand for ?? Local variations of Mad Cows Disease ? Anyway......... is the plan that whenever it becomes the 24th May where we happen to be, we look at Annettes list and then uncork the bubbly ? Fortunately choochoo doesn't touch the stuff, because when should SHE open her bottle ? At midnight between the 23rd and 24th ?? Or between 24th and 25th ?? cheezus kraistus - this is getting awfully complicated ! Where are those engineers with their Texas calculators when you really need them ! ------------------------------------------------- 2:00 pm PDT (California, Victoria BC) 4:00 pm CDT (Illinois, Missouri, Iowa, S. Dakota, Nebraska, N. Carolina) 5:00 pm EDT (Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, Ottawa, Pennsylvania, N. Carolina, Florida) 5:00 pm ART (Buenos Aires) 10:00 pm BST (London) 11:00 pm CEST (Paris, Denmark) 12:00 midnight IDT (Israel) 7:00 am (the next day) EST (Sydney) 9:00 am (the next day) NZST (Auckland)

I'm no Einstein, but when it's 2:00 pm here in California, it's 11:00 that same day in Paris, and Israel is one hour later...so Shoesy would log on at midnight on the 24th (as it's becoming the 25th). The only ones who will be a day ahead are those in Australia and NZ. (right??? ) <<Local variations of Mad Cows Disease?>> Off the top of my head: PDT=Pacific Daylight Time (it's PST when we're on Standard Time) CDT=Central Daylight Time (CST " " " " " " ) EDT=Eastern Daylight Time (EST " " " " " " ) ...and the rest, I'll let our Internet Search Queen figure out!

I don't think it's complicated at all. Exactly 3 weeks from tonight at midnight it'll be THE time for me, but I'll be sure to log in before then and stay logged in until the rest of you guys become so drunk that............ ;D

Tomorrow (May 24) is THE day ! Recall earlier discussions regarding an OPF online glow-in? Annette figured out an excellent time that hopefully will work for most (otherwise, just check in whenever its convenient to give a toast to OPF, if you so wish!);
Lots of great events happening on May 24--"it's Annette's hubby birthday, too"!
How about this for a time: 2:00 pm PDT (California, Victoria BC) 4:00 pm CDT (Illinois, Missouri, Iowa, S. Dakota, Nebraska, N. Carolina) 5:00 pm EDT (Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, Ottawa, Pennsylvania, N. Carolina, Florida) 5:00 pm ART (Buenos Aires) 10:00 pm BST (London) 11:00 pm CEST (Paris, Denmark) 12:00 midnight IDT (Israel) 7:00 am (the next day) EST (Sydney) 9:00 am (the next day) NZST (Auckland)

I'm taking a 2:30 bus to my brother's in New Jersey so I'll be there in plenty of time to log on to his computer with a glass(or bottle) of something in hand at 5:00! Probably won't be able to stay on too long... sister is also coming over and we'll be making dinner plans. And they'll think I'm nuts....

Okay, this is probably a dumb question, but... after I log in on the 24th at 5:00 eastern time, what then? Do we all go to the chat room, or to this post? Or is the goal to just be logged on in general?
