I recommend trying out some of the ads that are in the advertising field just above this section. Some are way out weird (Truffy, you have some straaaange business connections !) - but some are quite interesting, e.g. for holiday homes, apartments etc. Look for instance at this - out of the blue - WONDERFUL online shoe shop, all with different versions of beautiful ballerina flats. Even some for big flappy footsies such as those holding up yours truly ! www.frenchsole.com/index.phpSee, you can get them Chanel-style: (text for photo) Sturdy£65.00 (ex VAT: £55.32) This ballet pump is a real French classic with its contrasting toe cap. Nicole Kidman, Claudia Schiffer, Julia Roberts and many other models and actresses have bought and fallen in love with this chic and comfortable shoe. This style comes in hardy leathers and nubucks with a half inch heel.

Yes, these are very classy, plus ballerina make legs look longer and nicer (as if we needed such a trick ) . But fashion shoes this Winter are patent leather ones with high heels, and that's what I am going shopping for tomorrow (that, plus a few other pieces of trivia ;D ...) !

Pretty shoes, Gitte! Anne, are the "in" winter dress shoes patent leather in any color? Is the Mary Jane look still in? Hope you have good luck finding your dream shoes (and thanks for the fashion update!). (and yes..as if...we need shoe trickery to make our legs look longer...ahem..yup..as if! )

Cybee, these patent leather shoes are black only . I have no idea what it is that you call the "Mary Jane look" ...

Ha! Very cute little girl in Mary Janes. Actually, the type of ones I was thinking of just now are more on the line of ( I think the term is at times used when a small simple strap is added): [IM

Yes MaryJanes are molassess, peanutty, chewy candies. and yes they are also usually flat shoes with a strap, like on the little girl in the candy ad,....and now with heels as Cybee's ad shows. Actually when I was in high school they were popular with a block about 2" heel and the strap fastened with a button or pearl!
That ballerina flat link came up in other threads...there is a French Sole store here on Lexington Ave & 73rd where I've bought several pairs..which I wear in Paris to the amazement of some folks here!!!
We usually do patent leather in spring here...but a few years back black patent leather pumps were popular all year round!I left a pair in Paris because the heels got all scraped up!

sis - you must not delete the photo from the database where you keep them, e.g. photobucket, because this will automatically delete the photo from all places, you have exported the photo to. Can this be the case ?

cybee - Those are gorgeous red shoes. Gitte - I also like the black and white ones in your picture. This summer I tried on several pairs of similar shoes, but none of them fit quite right. I was very disappointed because my summer wardrobe consists of a lot of black and white, and I really wanted to get shoes like those.

Nice shoes, Sis, and the heels seem to be a very reasonable height.

Well, they're not as stylin' as Cybee's...but they are comfortable (which is very relevant when we're talking about Paris ) HEY! I wonder of that ad popped up because of our dear Shoes(y)?

They are nice sis! I, being half Polish decent, have somewhat thicker ankles (spraining one often doesn't help either)so shy away some from straps (other than JCFM of course)...but...those might do.. ;D

Sis They look like dancing shoes. They must be comfortable. I learnt another thing today on this forum, "patent leather". We call it "charol" in Spanish, and it´s called "vernis" in French. How would it be called in Danish?

Sis - I bet that the ad popped up because there's been a lot of talk about JCFM shoes.
