Darcy - it's a great site, only one cannot judge which agencies are good and which are not so good. We need some recommendations from earlier tenants. Let me start: www.perfectlyparis.com is just PERFECT - the nicest manager, reliable, answers your emails super-quickly - but they are not the cheapest. Also I have had some correspondance with Xavier at www.parisaddress.com - and they also felt very reliable.

Just wanted to draw everyone's attention to the fact that Gail who runs www.perfectlyparis.com now has a new range of gorgeous 2-bedroom apartments, not only in Montmartre, but now also in the 8th arr. and in lovely St.Georges neighbourhood in the 9th. How's this for a bedroom, for instance No, I am not on a commission........ yet....... ;D

I wish my bedroom at home looked like that one. Mine is half the size, and it lacks charm.........except when my hubby is in it. ;D

I have stayed in that apt. for about 6 months over the last 3 years. It is one of my favorites during the 14 years we have been renting in Paris along with this and this. It must be rented for a minimum of a month, and the immediate area is a little pocket of quiet between St. Georges, Trinity and Pigalle. We will be there again this April and May.

Laidback -- How about a trip/food report or two? I always enjoyed reading yours on BP and I'm sure the rest of this gang would love them also! You've probably got more information regarding Paris than most of us! And I know you always eat well!!!
Thanks!

Hey Laidback, so the picture on Gitte's post is your corner apartment. Looks fabulous and can see why it is a favorite for anyone who can stay a month or more.
You have excellent taste.

You girls are too kind luvparee, if you have a couple of places in mind, I will be happy to go through my photos and post a bit. I seem to remember that you stay in the 7th, would you like something from there? I know I have some of Le Violon d'Ingres, Fables de la Fontaine and La Fontaine de Mars.

A thought! Jim and Pat (laidbacks) will be joining me for lunch at La Fontaine Gaillon. Let's get him to post a review of that!
We will also be doing some apartment previewing one day and lunching out. We may find another spot that he would like to write about.
He does a good job. Has done quite a few on e-gullet.
Putting you to work, Jim!
