My parents usually stay in luxury hotels, but on their last visit they wanted to be very close to our home. I put them up at the Hotel des Saints Peres, but they did not like it at all. Fortunately, their first evening they stumbled into the Hotel Pas de Calais, just next door. They LOVED it!!!
This weekend I also wanted a hotel close to home, nice but affordable. My Dad suggested I try the HPdC and it was PERFECT. The rooms were just re-decorated. Very modern and very warm. It was quite chic, but only 150E a night. The staff was exceedingly friendly and the breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfasts I have ever had (outside of Israel, of course!).
I love the location, too! Just a block from the Deux Magots, and the intellectual center of the city. I highly recommend this place.

What a splendid idea to get away and spend the weekend at a hotel... in your own hometown! It seems like you got a good deal, and you have Daddy to thank for that. I'm glad the hotel provided you with a good breakfast, (quite often my favorite meal) but even happier that you remembered that the BEST breakfasts are to be found in Israeli hotels.

Hi Phread, There is a woman posting on TA who has some medical problems and the apartment she rented has fallen through. Do you think this would be a good hotel for someone in a wheel chair? from what I can tell she has to have an elevator.

It would work for her, but I believe that she has found a solution.
