Grandes Eaux Musicales at Versailles

Who has done this?
My mom wants to do this, and I cringe at the thought of going to Versailles on a Saturday. we'd only stay for the 11 -12 show though, not all of them.
Is it crowded and headache inducing, or is it worth it?

Worth it? I will said yes.

I have great memory of it and each time I hear Delalande's Symphonies pour les soupers du Roy I am in Versailles again.
Les grandes eaux does give you a perspective on what the park was all about.
That said it was crowded and I was not caring for a olderly person....
