I found a website that appears to have some potential...but I can't get the videos to play on my computer! Can anyone else get them to work? If so, how??? There are clips on Berthillions, a boulangerie, a flower market, how to ride the metro, Ile St. Louis, etc, etc, etc, and I'm frustrated that I can't make it work! Help!!! www.geobeats.com/videoclips/france/paris/berthillon-ice-cream

Yes, they do look like fun (I'm sneaking a peek while at work, so can't spend much time on them right now). Maybe there's something about your browser that's blocking this?

Okay, I switched to my laptop, and the videos load just fine I know what I'll be doing after I make dinner! Thanks for checking it out for me, Becky.

I've watched about a dozen of these GeoBeats clips, and they're very well done. I now have a few new ideas of places to see and things to do. Some of these videos will be especially good for first-timers--how to navigate the the metro, French phrases, etc. And for the rest of us, they'll give plenty of "ahhh, I've been there" moments!

Annette, To view you need Adobe Flash Player installed on your computer. This is usually a free installation on your PC. You can get it however at: www.macromedia.com/software/flash/about/On the bar at the top of the page, move the cursor onto "downloads" and then click on "Get Flash Player". Uncheck the "I want the google toolbar" unless you do of course! Click on download. Hope that helps Thanks for the link by the way- you are suitably exalted! Best wishes

Thanks Ian & Goldenmama! ;D I figured out the problem with my computer--my darling daughter had closed all the "resident programs" (what's the correct word for that?--the little icons at the bottom right of the computer screen?), but now that I've rebooted the computer and they're all running again, I'm having no problem! But Ian, thanks so much for taking the time to type out directions and provide links for my problem! I really appreciate that!

Annette - fantastic website, thank you for showing us. The metro one was pariculalry useful, simple things like having to open the train doors yourself, is good to know! I also enjoyed the bakery & cheese videos!
