I cannot believe it........ All afternoon ever since 15:30 I have walked around pressing my lips together not to start SCREAMING MY HEAD OFF !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YEEEEAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH.....
Crack open the champagne, light the fireworks, fetch a can of Iranian caviar (yuk..... ), send in the Marines:
Here it comes, here it comes - hold on to your false teeth, grandpa:
I AM GOING TO SEE PLACIDO DOMINGO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THAT Placido Domingo.
Did you hear what I said ?
Should I repeat that for those of you who may be slow in the uptake ??
THAT Placido Domingo.
Oh my, oh my - when I come up in my apartment, I will jump up and down in my bed and do a wild beep-bob-a-looh-lah dance all alone !!
I have LOVED Placido Domingo for 30 years. I had all his opera recordings (on old LP's of course) and I have always dreamed of attending a concert with him. But gave it up. When he finally came to Copenhagen, I had become an old married hausfrau.
Listen what happened today - this is INSANE !!!! There must be angels on the loose in Paris today !!!!
OK, walked into café to pee, bought coffee, went to toilet. Oooops, another à la Turque. Walked out and saw BY ACCIDENT this poster with his to-die-for-handsome-and-intelligent-face:
Concert Finale du Concours Opéralia
Conductor: Placido Domingo
(Domingo does not sing in public any more, but he is an excellent conductor and has been for many years)
I did not know about this international opera contest for young singers, but it seems that it was initiated by Domingo in 1993. This year there are singers from 19 countries, though some must have been "sent home" when they reach the finale.

Next Saturday in Théatre Musicale du Châtelet.
Hurried down to FNAC in Champs Elysées as fast as my Eccos would carry me. Row 13 - that is ORCHESTRA seat, ladies and junnelmen !!!!
