Welcome to all newcomers. We all love to see pictures in your posts, so here are 2 quick-guides made by British member andiandgaz, who also happens to be our in-house tatooist 
, so she knows her way about picture-making !:
INSERT PHOTOS
1. Go to a site like Photobucket and upload the picture you want to post
2. It will say "browse" at which point you click it and find the picture to upload from your computer ie: mydocuments/pictures
3. Click "upload" and that picture will upload to Photobucket
4. (For Photobucket anyway) When the image is uploaded there will be a small list below the image with URL, HTML Tag or IMG codes, If you click over the IMG code a little yellow box pops up and says "copied"
5. You then come to this forum and go to the section you want to place your picture in, you type what you want to say then below it you "right click" your mouse and click on the word "paste"
It should then put in the IMG code that you got, ie: (IMG)blahblahblah(IMG)
6. When you then submit your post it should have a picture on it.

You will need to register to use the basic services for them both.
You may need to resize some pictures if they are too large, I use this site, www.resize2mail.com/
This is how you resize your picture.
1. Go to the resize site first before uploading
2. Click the browse button and find the picture you want to insert
3. Decide what shape and size you want to make it and put a dot in that choice.
4. Click "okay"
5. Wait for it to do its job (your picture will then appear on the screen) you simply right click over it and "Save picture as"
6. Save the new resized picture to wherever you keep your pictures on the computer.
From here you follow the steps for uploading your picture to Photobucket.
CREATE AN AVATAR
1. Do a google search on the IMAGE section for a subject you want. (hint-look what size it says below the image, keep it as small as possible as this helps you not to have to resize it ie: 100x95)
2. When you find one you like click on it to open that page
3. "Right" click over the picture then "left" click "save picture as"
4. You then need to save this picture in Mydocuments/mypictures etc or where ever you save your stuff. Make sure you save it as a "jpeg" or if its a moving picture a "gif"
5. Once you have the picture saved, put your pointer over it and the dimensions should come up so take a note of them, it is probably best to upload it on Photobucket so that you can get a URL for it (an address) I explained how to do the "Photobucket" bit on uploading pictures.
6. Get your URL from Photobucket for that picture (copy and paste)
7. Come to this forum, click on your username, then click modify Profile
8. Scroll down the page to the avatar section then put your cursor on the section that says Avatar URL........right click then click on "Paste" The avatars address should go in.
9. Next write in the next 2 boxes what those dimensions were.
10. The next box down allows you to write something underneath your avatar.....this can be anything you like.
11. While you are there you may as well fill in the box below that.....this is your signature, it can say anything also and will show up below all your posts.
12. When you are done, make sure you scroll down to the bottom of this page and on the left it will say MODIFY, be sure to click it so that all you have done will be saved, if you dont click it, it will all disappear.
