I'm putting this here as a suggestion even though it would probably go under Visitor Questions.
How about a comprehensive list of transportation options?
What area they cover, such as RER (which line?) goes to airport.
How much?
Where to buy.
The hours of operation (of Metro and busses)
Difference in ticket, carnet, Mobilis, and Carte Orange and who can buy.
What a ticket buys/gives you. i.e metro ticket is good for changing lines if you don't leave station but 1 ticket per bus.
If children require tickets and is price the same.
What area that covers- IE. zones and definition, if you have to buy separate ticket for zones outside 1-2, is there is a map of zones
That you buy separate ticket for Versailles and Disney (I think that is correct).
websites that give you good information on transportation
Stations that have both metro line and RER, such as Charles de Gaulle-Etoile (myself I go to George V for metro to avoid it)
LOL don't forget the winding stairs at Abbesses exit.
That there is a bus route map at the bus stop (if it has a bench)
There is a map/list of stops on both the metro car and the bus.
and stations that have a long walk between lines.
What the different signs mean, such as sortie and correspondence (sic)
And of course options to get to and from airport.
and I'm trying to think of everything. Such as Batobus, hop a bus, cruises (technically these are not transportation but I know there are always questions about them so a clarification between them and the Batobus), even the Air France bus.
I know this is a long list but it can be very confusing for a first time visitor.
The reason I suggest this is someone mentioned that you have to have your ticket to exit RER (I wondered why there where just doorways to exit on my recent trip, but then realized we had always rode the RER to the office) and two I see so many conflicting answers on Carte Orange on TA.
And last but not least someone very familiar with the transportation to proof/verify the information.
