WOW!!
I just saw on TV Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga DEMOLISH Rafael Nadal in the semi-final of the Australian Open Men's Tennis tournament 6-2, 6-3, 6-2.
I was in Melbourne last weekend and saw him play fellow countryman Richard Gasquet, but this performance was beyond amazing!! Rafa didn't know what hit him.
He's the first man into the final. We now have to wait for the other semi-final tomorrow night!
I love tennis, and I love it even better when the clear underdog wins.

I am a tennis fan as well and enjoyed watching Tsonga play a fabulaous match. You are lucky to have gotten to see him play Gasquet. The French have so many great players right now. You must try to time a trip to Paris during the French Open - it is a lot of fun and easy to get into during the first week. I will cheer Tsonga on in the final!

There were loads of Frnech players! When we got there last Friday, the first 3 matches we saw all featured French players (although they all lost). I must say I was tired when I watched Tsonga - we were at the Baghdatis/Hewitt marathon match that finished at 4.34 in the morning the night before - lol. Now that was a Sat night to remember. I got to appreciate Tsonga more over this week after I got some sleep. The Federer/Djokovic match just finished, with Djokovic winning in 3 sets!!! This final will definitely be interesting. As for the French Open, it's definitely on the cards. I had posted earlier about whether to come again this year or next, but now that I am tennis fever, Roland Garros in 2009 is looking very appealing. Mez.
