About two blocks from the Jardin du Luxembourg is the Pantheon, which I find very interesting. I don't know if there is a "hidden" elevator to the top level (doubt your ladies would be up for the climb) but it's a really great view from there (and a nice contrast to the other views over the city from the Arc, Sacre Coeur, etc.).

I know, I like the 5th and 6th , but don't see them as they "be all, end all" of Paris. I "found myself" many times on Rue de Sevres, getting lost when we stayed in the 7th! ("getting lost is fun " yeah unless you are in desperate need of a WC! says I to the architect who never would on his own!) Wish I knew there was something to see! Where abouts is the church, the only one noted on my map is St. Ignace in the 6th! Yes I've been to the Miraculous Medal chapel, twice actually as I didn't bring back enough medals the first time! And I've sent all my "believer" friends going to Paris there. I had an article saying it beats most of the "top attractions" in visitors...bus loads of "pilgrims" from all over though it was not jammed either time I was there. It has a calm, lovely feel for anyone I think.
