I have just joined Our Paris after 2000 + posts on TA. As a professional photographer for 38 years with 5 visits to Paris since 2000 (#6 will be this coming September) I have a lot of experience in the genre.
If I can be of any assistance on matters of photography, please do not hesitate to respond here or through my email (on my profile).
As soon as I learn to navigate here I am hoping to share an ocassional photograph with you as well.
Take good care,
Randy

Welcome Randy -- we look forward to hearing more from you (and seeing what you find interesting as a photographer). As you can see, many of us are enthusiastic amateurs, but I suspect most would like to be better at capturing the spirit of the place.

How beautiful ! Thank you - I could only find the photo from the Seine - will try and find the other one too. have you seen the new movie "Paris, je t'aime" ? For a photographer it must be very delightful (as well as for all the rest of us). Cannot be recommended enough.

Thanks Shoey, glad you liked them. More to come. p.s. I like your new icon !
GitteK - when you click on something like view complete profile, it brings you to 2 choices: Images of a Special Light. One is the 1 you saw (Along the Seine), the other is Luxembourg Gardens.

Hi GitteK,
Thank you for your recommendation of Paris je T'aime. It's on the top of our list when we get back to San Francisco from North Carolina.
When I was a photographer in Washington D.C. from 1961-63 I would go to the Circle Theater on 23rd and Pennsylvania and see 2 foreign flcks for 90 cents including expresso coffee at intermission.
My favorite movies were DON'T SHOOT THE PIANO PLAYER and THE RED BALLOON.
It was funny when there was something funny on the screen and a whole group of people in the theater laughed and the the rest of us laughed several seconds later. We then realized that they were from the French Embassy and heard the joke while we were still reading the subtitles

GitteK -
How right on you were regarding "Paris, je t'aime", my wife and I saw it this evening - outstanding ! I do thinks that it problably has a lot more meaning for those of us who have had the good fortune to live in or have visited Paris many times. It's "eye candy"with so many facets.
My blog now has 4 images: Along the Seine, Luxembourg Gardens, St. Suplice Church and Les Bouquinistes. Just click on "my complete profile" on each image to choose the next one.
One of these days I will get on to the easy and correct way to post.
