A new place by the owner of Fish. We liked Fish as does Patricia Wells. Has anybody tried this new place on Rue de Seine??

Jody and Geordy, Tom and I had dinner there last September. It is a very popular place. I read about it from Phread's blog so I had it on my forever growing list of places to try. Service was nice and friendly and what I like about it is we can do half orders (tapas style). We really enjoyed our meal there. It is worth the stop if you have the time. Lucky for us, we were just a block away on rue Dauphine and snagged that table by the window. These are two of our half dishes - they were actually big plates. The third picture is from the Givenchy window. -Lilia

Thanks for mentioning this Jody, and for the pics Lilia! Jody, what place on Rue Monge??
Edit: Okay, just saw the reference about the place near rue Monge on Geordy's thread. I've read that Terroir Parisien (20 Rue Saint-Victor, 01 44 31 54 54) is very good and have it on my list for March. An article said that all menu items are made from produce and meat grown in the Ile de France. They're open for breakfast, lunch and dinner--service nonstop, every day. And yes, a 3-star Michelin chef! I'm excited to try it. We walked by in October but never got there to eat.

Another restaurant to add to the list! :-)
Thanks for the pictures, Lilia. The food looks lovely, and I agree that the portions are very generous.
And never mind the Givenchy window, you look fabulous, Lilia!

Jody - indeed, the portions are big. The first was a veal dish and the second was pork belly - they were both delicious and so tender, you won't need your knife.
Couldn't help taking some Givenchy windows on the way to L'Obe to meet The Laidbacks and realized later that I was in one of the pictures! Shows that lousy photographers sometimes get some pretty good shots!
Annette - there is Cafe Victor across from Terroir Parisien which is a good place to adjourn after your lunch or dinner and then you only have a short walk home..........
Geordy - hope you are enjoying all the heart=shaped goodies in Paris right now.
Mez - hope to see you again in Paris. We had such a nice time at Chez Jenny. Thanks for sharing the dessert with me.
bisous to all, Lilia

We went to Terrior Parisien for a late lunch today...but alas, they close between lunch and dinner (maybe 2pm?). We arrived at 2:30 and there were still people inside dining, but no new seatings, so we'll try another time this week. We walked across to Cafe Victor and had a good meal served by a very sweet & friendly waitress.
