the funniest part of all of that is that the 75% income tax hasn't passed.
(and the idea of a dancer named Millepied makes me giggle)

I picked Benjamin out as a favorite when he first became a member of NYCB years ago! Of course his being French had NOTHING to do with it! But seriously I thought he was a terrific dancer and was sorry when he stopped dancing with the company to pursue more strictly making ballets. Was thrilled about Black Swan but his romance with Natalie hit the ballet world here hard and cattily as he was in a live in relationship with an ABT dancer(she is now a soloist) for some time when he got involved with the movie. But it looks like it is working out for them...I'll be curious to see what new works...besides his..he brings to the Paris Opera!

Well Geordy, since you are on a first name basis with the new director, do you think you can snag me some tickets for La Cenerentola in March?

All the cheap seats are gone--the only ones left for our dates are 180€ so I won't even bother asking hubby if he wants to go...

I'd keep trying.....they seem to limit what and when they sell on line. And if not, hit the box office upon arrival!

Really?! I've never looked into opera tickets much so haven't realized there are tricks and that other tickets might be available other than what's shown online. Maybe I should hit up the guys at Guest Apartments and ask if they can snag some for me, otherwise I will try the box office when we get there. Thanks Geordy!!

A friend of mine last year wanted a particular performance on a particular day. She went on line the first day they went on sale...only the cheapest and the most expensive. Next two days they weren't selling that date at all.! A few days later she got mid price tickets for the date!

Isn't there a box office where you can pick up returns, as in London ?

As for "celebs", David Beckham has signed for Paris St Germain. Little wifey ;D Victoria will stay behind with the kids in London, but I bet she'll be checking out the posh shops in the Golden Triangle every chance she gets.

Isn't there a box office where you can pick up returns, as in London ? There's an online site www.trocdesplaces.com where people sell their unwanted tickets. It's completely legitimate. There are currently 3 tickets available for Cenerentola. I got great tickets to see it on opening night last November. I seem to recall that the spring presentations are with the second cast, but I'm not certain of that.

Thanks for the heads up on this. Are 1re loge de côté, 17 decent seats? It says 3 seats available at 70€. It's not clear if it's 70€ each or for all 3--anyone have a clue? We are going to have a guest in the early part of our trip, so that would be perfect. She's on a tight budget and probably doesn't want to pop for a 70€ seat...and I'm not sure if Darryl will be so generous to buy it for her We shall see.

Ist loge I'm betting 70 apiece......it depends on exactly where they are but should be decent...can you play on the official website to see where they are?
