Many people, myself included, think the locks on the bridges in Paris are not attractive and also believe they're pollution in the bargain.

Among other considerations, those old bridges were not meant to hold up the weight of all those locks.

I'm sorry 33, I don't mean to rain on your parade, and I don't mean to start (and won't participate in) an extended debate on the issue.

It's just important to point out that declaring one's love for another, or for a city as in your case, could easily be accomplished without defacing and quite likely damaging public property.
