Yes, it's terrible -- but it's what life is like after a hurricane. The recovery efforts aren't fast, and they aren't easy.
States all across the eastern seaboard have sent all their extra crews and trucks to help get it all hooked back up -- but when buildings are unsafe to enter, roads are still blocked, the occasional gas leak still shows up, and standing water turns downed wires into death traps, they can only rewire so much so fast.
It will be another week, maybe 2, before the water and electric is completely restored to every building that is still habitable.

There's another storm hitting NY and NJ today...my heart goes out to all affected by these storms. Prayers with everyone...

Ugh -- I saw the snow forecast on CNN this morning -- that just makes the whole mess worse, plus the threat of hypothermia.
