Eat your heart out, Google Street View

Yes, I love Google Street View and the way I can do a virtual walk through Paris streets whenever I want to imagine being there. But the Turgot map of 1739 allows me to wander the streets of Paris in the early 18th century, popping into courtyards, strolling the gardens, admiring the boats in the river. This is the way to let your fingers do the walking:

I have THAT MAP framed (in four large sections) and hung over my living room couch. There is a place in NY that does reproductions of maps around the world - I bought it online.
