Our son has had a job interview in Paris!!!!! He was shortlisted, flown in earlier this month and is still waiting to hear the outcome. (people were leaving on vacation the following week, but of course, it IS August). I am not at liberty to say what he was applying for, but any good vibes you can send would be great! If he got the job, I would be FORCED to travel here on a regular basis to visit - lol. He had never been to Paris, but was well taken care of, and he told me he's fallen in love with the city in the short three days he was there. (Paris was not even on his radar) He's my kid, alright. Just had to share.

Mez, Mossie, Geordy, Jody, Sandy, Annette and Denise, thanks for the good vibes. I believe they've worked! Lots of things to sort out, hopefully it will all work out. I was planning a trip to Paris next Sept. anyway, but now, this will make it even better!!!

Positive thoughts from this forum (and elsewhere!) seem to have helped. The son has obtained a six month contract to work in Paris. Now, to find out the start date. I hope to squeeze in a little trip before my "big" trip to London and Paris next Aug/Sept. I need him to move there as soon as possible since my job prevents me from travelling in Jan, Feb, March... ;D

I finally found out he will begin on October 1. I am checking airfares from Toronto and Detroit for the first week of December. So far, they are cheaper from Toronto. Yippeee!
