I've mentioned that I'm planning a 2013 trip to Paris (and London) with a friend. She is very interested in sewing and quite talented. I, on the other hand, know nothing about it. I am doing most of the planning for the trip as this is a pleasure for me and she isn't really interested in computers. Is there a place I should add to our trip where she could look at fabric, etc. she may want to bring home from Paris? Just wondering. I have no idea.
Thanks!

Just head for Metro Anvers and head up rue Steinkirque towards Sacre Coeur.
I'm also sure Kerouac can point you towards better places in the Goutte d'Or

Marché St. Pierre near Sacre Coeur is great. It's at 2 Rue Charles Nodier, and has 5 or 6 floors of fabric. If she interested in cotton quilting fabric, head to Le Rouvray at 3 Rue de la Bûcherie in the 5th--she carries a line of fabric that is made in France and is difficult to get outside of the country. Also some nice typical prints from Provence.
