Parc Monceau (and the neighborhood around it below Boulevard de Courcelles) is one of our favorite places in Paris. I wish more visitors to Paris would venture far enough from the Seine and Le Marais to experience it.

I wish more visitors to Paris would venture far enough from the Seine and Le Marais to experience it. It's fantastic! We loved it. I think part of the charm is that it isn't overran with tourists. You really feel as if you're part of a Paris neighborhood. I wish I was there right now!

:)It is people like you Keith, that reassure me that I am not completely mad, because you so obviously feel the same way as lots of us here do.
..and if we are mad, then it is a wonderful kind of madness.
Your blog is an inspiration.
So hope you get to return to Paris soon.
Love Denise

What a wonderful post Keith! (welcome to the forum btw). We all get exactly what you said...it's those special moments that really get into your soul. Paris is a mix of grand and subtle beauty...you captured that in a wonderful way, thanks for sharing. I hope you get back to Paris soon. Although between you and Denise and Jo I might be fired for reading Paris blogs all day! ;D
