My wife and I made our first ever Paris AND European trip 4 weeks ago and I'm still in awe over what we experienced. I've been steadily writing since we returned - the city effected me that much. I started a blog page dedicated to our amazing trip. Included on that is our Paris Journal. Here's the link to it. I hope you all enjoy! paristhroughneweyes.wordpress.com/category/paris-trip-journal/-Keith

Thanks so much! Ya know, I figured I would love the city but I didn't realize how much it would impact me. I just can't stop thinking or writing about it. I just hope people enjoy it.

Relax, you are among your people. ;D A few of us even have blogs that we can link to and everyone loves reading them! It's all good. I totally get what you are going through. We took our first trip to Paris in May 2007 to celebrate our 25th anniversary and have been back 7 times since. I took my daughter in 2010, my grandson just this last May and our best friends in 2010 ~ I have to share the city I love with all my heart with the people I love as well. It's so much more than the monuments and museums ~ it's the architecture, the little streets, the grand boulevards, people strolling in the parks, the food (oh God, the food!), the wine (yep, that too), the people, the cafes, walking, walking, walking and seeing something that takes your breath away on every corner. The way of life where people work to live, not live to work. It's taking a long lunch talking with good friends over great food (and don't forget the wine). It's going to the markets and buying the freshest bread, chicken, veggies and fruits. It talking to locals about life and love and their city. It's about me wanting to live there with every fibre of my being. It's about really bad PPD tonight. Sorry, just highjacked your thread! All this to say that you will feel very comfortable here, you are among people who get what you feel about Paris and that you must share it with the world! ;D Keep sharing with us. Jo (there are great trip reports, recommendations for restaurants and apartments, things to do on the off beaten path, etc. You'll like it here, lol)

Perfect pill for the PPD.* Great Annette! As mentioned elsewhere I love writing about Paris! But it does make it better when you get the feeling people are enjoying it. Especially people who love the city as much as I now do!

Welcome Keith! Absolutely loved your blog and all the pictures! Sounds like you had a fabulous time. You definitely among fellow addicts. I've been 4 times in the last 3 years and one of the perks of my new job is that I'll only be 3 hours and 19 minutes by train from Paris! In addition to being super knowledgeable, I don't think you'll find another group of travelers on the internet this wonderful. Everyone here is really lovely, hilarious and helpful. ;D

Rachel, Redqueen,
THANKS! I'm thrilled to hear that others not enjoy reading my ramblings but share the same infatuation with the city. I'm already thinking about a return trip...I think I'll write about it...LOL

Keith, I have just finished reding your entire blog. You 2 did it right ,all the major sites but left time for sitting in parks and cafes and just breathing the Paris air. Next time add some street markets,Richard lenoir or Rue Monge . they are my favorite thing to do. Hurry back!!

Enjoyed your blog Keith and agree with Jody, you did it right. I'm not a go, go, go person (unlike my mother who figures she is in a race or something!) and my best memories usually involve people watching from a sidewalk cafe

Thanks again! There was only one day where we felt like we overdid it. But the parks were a huge thing to us and I wish we could have stayed in them and explored new one longer.
Thanks again for checking out my blog. One thing is for certain, the city leaves an impression...well...many impressions.

It was amazing and I'll keep on blogging. It's funny - I have about 15 topics jotted down to write about and other thoughts popping up all through my mind. The city really effected me that much.
