And some have a special sale for just a day or two, sometimes at a different location, like Hermès.

The Hermès sale will be held the July 4 thru the 8th or 9th at Palais des Congres. I don't know of any source that lists all the sales and don't know how to find out about them except searching the brands you're interested in online for info. Maybe Phread can give us some good insider advice when she checks in!

Pretty much all the brands, except LV have sales. Hermes is the only one I know of off-site.
There is a system in these boutiques in which regulars are invited to a pre-sale two weeks before the Soldes begin.
If you ask for the pre-soldes price that week, and if you do it with authority, you are very likely to get 30% off.
I did my soldes shopping last week, although the soldes begin tomorrow.

Some boutiques have also already started offering sales. I got a raincoat at Burberry this week and the sales lady already gave me the sale price even though it doesn't start until tomorrow. It's been raining so much in Paris lately that I think a raincoat will come in really handy.
