We arrived last Sunday, trip #8 for my husband Bill and myself. So far the weather has been cloudy, cool, sunny, rainy, last May we were here and not a drop of rain. Oh well,I am still in Paris. Thanks to all for your tips in helping me plan another trip.We are renting an apartment in the 11th,we usually have a little plan, then wander wherever. Monday we were to visit a cheese shop through Meeting the French, but it was cancelled,so we visited some on our own. We picked up our metro passes, then went out to find the restaurant Reed.We had signed up for a cooking class with Catherine on Tuesday. We wandered around, went to Bon Marche and looked at all the food .Wow,we ate a croque Monsieur and a croque Madame at a sidewalk cafe. Tuesday up and out the door,I just need my coffee ,I usually pick up a pain au chocolate somewhere.Bill prefers to eat a little before going out. Cooking with Catherine was a delight. We met a woman from NC,and a couple from CA and their 2 college age daughters. She had us chopping and dicing,we spent about 5 hours there, boning a chicken leg and thigh, stuffing it with a mushroom mixture, making a hollandaise sauce and profiteroles with a chocolate sauce. So much fun in her tiny open kitchen, the restaurant seats 20.. Sorry if I am rambling, but I need to do this before I forget. We all sat down with Catherine to enjoys all of our work, and had a glass or 2 of wine

Nice to hear you are in Paris - hope the weather straightens out for you so that you have some nice days!
Glad to hear you mention Reed restaurant - it is at the TOP of my list as I didn't get to go there during my April visit - I didn't know she had cooking classes so will put that down on the list as well - Have you had a meal at Reed or just the class? As I mentioned, it is at the top of my list and if I get to go back in September this year, will definitely make it there for at least a nice lunch!
