Last weeend I was walking thru a local Street Fair, 1st Ave right around bloc from my place. Rather boring, usual vendors, not much local participation. Then I saw a small booth..Maille Mustard! They had cardboard dispensers like you might see at a fast food joint or ball game with little packets of Maille..like the little ones of heinz ketchup or Gulden's etc.! Were also offering samples of pretzels ..little thick sticks..dipped in the honey mustard. Guess they are trying to establishment more of a presence here ..not just in expensive gourmet shops..a couple of weeks ago 8.1 oz. jars were in Fairway for 2 for $5.00..picked up a Honey Dijon! Jar says preferably serve with wooden or plastic spoon and refrigerate always out on tables in France!

Geordy, we do keep the jars in the fridge once they are opened. Restaurants have them out on tables indeed, but these are usually very small jars and I guess that they get eaten very quickly, so preserving is not much of a problem there.

Yes Anne I always keep mine in the fridge as well...just checked a Nathan's squeeze bottle I have..no such direction. But my Amora jar and Maille jar brought back from France do. But grew up speading/applying mustard with a butter knife or spreader..all metal Except of course at some picnics where plastic is used!
