Why?I've learned that I can get most things at home and the exchange doesn't work in our favour. Also, clothing is sized differently and I find most clothing doesn't fit me properly.

2) Galeries LaFayette, Puces des Vanves and others as necessary.
3) Presents and items not available at home.
4) Is it important? Not really but adds to the holiday experience

(give places) BHV, outdoor food markets, Sidney Carron, Pharmacies, Le Bon Marche, Monoprix, corner shops 3)why do you do shopping in Paris? gifts, personal needs, food 4) Is it important for you to do shopping in Paris? Yes No - not so much Why? markets, BHV Grande Epicerie, CityPharma, Centre Commerciale Italie 2, Monoprix, little shops here and there
3)why do you do shopping in Paris? Fun to look at a new/different selection of goods from what is available at home; gifts for others

No
Why? It's part of the overall experience for me, as I love bringing home little things to remember my trip by, but usually nothing extravagant

Monoprix Porte de Vanves and any Joel Garcia art or antique market that is on when we are there!
and that place on isle St Louis Pylones or something like that can't recall spelling

2 other:...see friends I have made on the internet.
3 to be alone in a place where I feel comfortable as a solo woman.
4 to visit museum/monuments..occasionally.
shopping...only do window shopping... rarely shop in Paris, stuff is much more expensive than in the UK. and the clothes are made for French women's shape not British women's shapes

3)why do you do shopping in Paris?.... Occasionally I come across something I like the style of. But rarely buy anything in Paris. Most stuff is available cheaper in the UK.
I just shop for food and everyday needs.

No...reason as above.

Maybe half a day looking around shops if I have time and if I am with a girlfriend. Often I go to Paris and never shop.

2) If you do shopping, where do you go in Paris for that? Franprix, Monoprix, Chocolate Shops, Pastry Shops, Gift Shops - I go to many different shops each time I am in Paris and it would be difficult to name them all - I rarely make purchases in the big department stores as I prefer the smaller shops where I find more unique gifts
3)why do you do shopping in Paris? purchase food items for small meals in my apartment - mainly for gifts to bring home

No
Why? It's fun to bring gifts home for family and friends.

for all the reasons and more (except for business) been maybe ten times. Love the shopping for goods unavailable here, love Detau, Deyrolle, all the outdoor food markets, the flea markets,
the fashions, the architecture, the park,the cafes.
An American in love with a city as a lover she can't afford often.
