The following items are things that I bought....... for MYSELF: 1. Paris T-shirt - I buy one on every trip. I will wear it over my ballet clothes. 2. Tote-bag - A tote is something that I schlep around in addition to my regular LeSportsac bag, where I keep my wallet, etc. 3. Black satin change purse in the shape of a ballet slipper. I bought it in the gift shop of the Garnier Opera House. I fell in love with quite a few items there because they are ballet-related. I didn't want to spend a lot of money (things are quite pricey there ), and as soon as I saw the change purse that cost only 9 euros, I knew that that was what I wanted. 4. A handbag holder with an Eiffel Tower design. (It attaches onto the table.) 5. Small black leather bag at Defense D'Afficher. I really liked it as soon as I put it over my shoulder, and I was happy when Shlomo expressed his approval. (There was the possibility that he would say: "Don't you already have a black bag?" ) Here is a link: www.defensedafficher.com/fr/pop-zoom.php?fichier=12168018621.jpg 6. A bright RED shoe for my miniature shoe collection. I now have 10 shoes ! 7. Limoge salt and pepper shakers. * Here is a photo of my cabinet that displays my little shoes and my Limoge pieces, as well as other pretty items.

Well you certainly didn't have a "black bag" like that but I now ..men Thanks for sharing..I share your passion for the ballet..was at NYCB yesterday afternoon and Thurs evening..and will check out the gift shop again! Have you ever checked out the shoes at the Metropolitan Museum gift shop? I bought 2 ring holder shoes on Rue Rivoli a couple of trips ago for gifts.

Jody - The royal blue cup and saucer next to the red shoe is a replica of a first class Titanic cup and saucer. ;D

Love Defense D'Afficher. Did the bag have figures on it? Saw some when we were there last Fall. Just actually looked at the site and saw the bag which is beautiful so use it in good health. maybe we'll get to see it in NYC. Sounds like you had a wonderful time.

Jody - The royal blue cup and saucer next to the red shoe is a replica of a first class Titanic cup and saucer. ;D So it is! I just looked at the photo of the replica plate my friend served dessert on at her Titanic dinner a few weeks ago. They match.

Well of course you need another black bag!
Love your display cabinet. The covered box at the bottom right of the 2nd picture is similar to one I purchased at a brocante during my month-long trip. It evokes wonderful memories - as I'm sure the things in your display cabinet do for you.
Would love to see a picture of the ballet slipper coin purse.

Holger - Yes, the bag has figures on it. It's the exact one you see when you click on the link I provided. Geordy - I don't recall seeing shoes at the gift shop st the Met. Janet - I'll ask Shlomo to take a pic of my little change purse. (I'm not into cameras. ) Re- the Titanic china, if you look at the top right of my cabinet, you will see another 1st class replica.....the wisteria pattern.

That's just what I was going to ask you! You can never have too many bags, especially nice black ones!

I love bags, but not as much as I love shoes. Good thing the situation isn't reversed or my name would be Baggy instead of Shoesy. ;D ;D ;D

Poor Shlomo. He must have been just dying to say that. I know I asked Stella why she needed a summer bag when she had plenty of very serviceable bags at home. Didn't stop her buying one though on Rivoli.

Shoesy - I've been away and now I have a lot of catching up to do. Since I only have computer access at work, I might loose my job (LOL) so I will read one poster at a sitting.
Love your purchases. That black bag is so beautiful - I can picture it on your shoulder. And I love your collection in the beautiful cabinet.
Glad to read about your trip as well (I know it's a different thread but I'm doing a shortcut here.....).
