April GTG and other things

I'll start with the excellent GTG at le Valentin on Friday 27th April, much coffee was drunk and much talk ensued.



It was wonderful to be able to meet up with so many people from such scattered places. As others have said, not possible before the advent of the internet.
Once alone I meandered lazily around odd quarters, but had to go to Galeries LaFayette for the obligatory shots and shopping.





I should really start at the beginning of course. When I arrive at Gare du Nord I cross the road and find a meal. While eating, this trio of bulky policewoman turned up, to find their car blocked by a pile of boxes awaiting collection. They were no doubt looking for a likely culprit



Because the weather was on the dull and drizzly side I was forced to spend some time in cafes or bars, so here is some typical interior decoration. This is Rosa Bonheur in the parc des Buttes Chaumont, which is a great youth hangout



This is on rue Panoyaux





And this is a decorated wall on the corner



I did manage a decent lunch in Eddy Zuari's le Laumiere

Great pictures! I agree, photo bucket is very tedious and I'm very lazy, so I just post my pictures on Facebook and post the link here.

Looks like everyone was having fun at the GTG. I really enjoyed the one I attended in October at Valentin ~ breakfast is a great time for a GTG (thanks Denise!) since it doesn't cut into the rest of your day (and it's easy for hubby to opt out of, lol)

Hope your wife is doing better.

Thanks for taking the time to share your report and photos. I wouldn't want to make those policewomen upset - they look pretty tough.

It's a pity the weather was dull and drizzly. I'm sure it was torture for you to spend time in cafes and bars. ;D

Yes, the weather was kinda lousy, but the GTG definitely brightened up our day. So much fun and laughter, as you can see in that photo. I agree that breakfast is a perfect time for such a meeting, and our venue couldn't have been better.

I hope you enjoyed your visits with the twinnies. What did Grandma and Grandpa bring them back from Paris?
