Hi mon braves, Arrived via Eurostar this afternoon on an absolutely gorgeous sunny day. This is the first time I have used a French keyboard so please excuse the qs instead of a,s and all the rest of the errors etc.The apartment is lovely though cramped and we hqve just hqd our first meal; a baguette on cheese and ham with a nice bottle of cote de Rhone and a slice of flan for pud. It hqs been a very hectic week as Scotland was very busy and we were rushing from here to there to see friends and relatives and trying not to miss anyone out.Of course we did and no doubt we will be getting huffy e_mails for the next month.Kent was the same but as they were Stella,s relatives then tant pis or something like that.WHY DOES THIS d**n KEYBOARD HAVE THE PERIOD IN UPPER CASE I think that we will now have a wee daunder about the locale before bed so; au revoir for noo and I will report again tomorrow.

George, is the computer in the apartment? If you're in a café or similar, you might be able to ask for an qwerty keyboard. At least they used to have them...

Hey George,
Have a wonderful time in Paris. You're missing a spectacular Canadian spring but all in all, I'd rather be in Paris, lol.
Hope Stella does lots of shopping and finds lots of treasures. Can't wait to read more,
Jo

Except for Edmonton - we've just had 12-13cm of snow so I'm doubly envious of you being in beautiful Paris and looking forward to reading more ! Enjoy!

OMG, Belladonna, we've had over a week of 20+ temperatures and wall to wall sunshine. I don't think I've ever seen weather like this in mid-March. It's supposed to go back down to about plus 2 by Monday ~ Jo

guys This computer has me beat;I keep losing things as I have typed out two reports and they have vanished into thin air. I need a drink or perhaps several before I attempt it again. However, off to the Moulin Rouge later on. Hope to communicate soon.

LOL George. I remember my first encounter with a french keyboard. Oh well, at least my kids had a good laugh over it.
Glad to see you in Paris again. Have fun.

Thanks to all. Shoesy, I will do my best to ensure good weather for your trip but as you carry your own sunshine with you you won't need my help.To the rest of you Canucks just remember the frequent April blizzards down Cornwall way.Day 2 is done now.
