This place has been on my list for a while. I'm pretty sure I read about it on David Leibovitz' blog. Last January after I visited the Cognac-Jay museum on r. Elzivir, I tried to find this place and couldn't. Rue Elzivir isn't that long! I wonder if maybe I read that it was *going* to open? I don't know but now that I know it's open I'll be sure to visit. Thanks, Sandy.
PS. In just re-reading the article, I see that it just opened last year. Must have been after January after I was there...

I once received an assortment of their most famous biscuits as a present from Lille. Their speculoos are excellent, nothing like the industrial biscuits. I also remember some thinner, less spiced biscuits with almond slices in them, these ones were my favourite. Some sablés too, good but nothing exceptionnal. I have kept the box because its decor is extremely cute, 19th century style, I still use it as a small storage box on a shelf.
