Yes may it be a wonderful year! Happy New Year to all! (off to Lincoln Center to see "The Nutcracker' later..apparently they are allowed to "play" a bit on NYE...still the wonderful dancing but a dancer may come out wearing glasses, leg warmers, or a mis-matched head piece! And getting over having the cream pie I just put in the fridge to set fall out and crack up..partially on the floor! Deep breaths..Happy New Year! ))

At 5 am (4 am Paris time ), I received a very lively phone call from someone special reporting live from Place de la Concorde. Apparently, everyone in Paris was out partying until the wee hours of the morning. ;D

Happy New Year everyone! It's nearly 5pm on the 1st as I am writing this. I definitely needed a long sleep in today. The TV Gods have smiled on me and I am now watching Gigi on TV. A nice Paris inspired way to start the year.

Apparently, everyone in Paris was out partying until the wee hours of the morning. ;D LOL I received texts from this "someone special" about that time myself. Sounds like a great party she was at! Darryl and I had a quieter evening at a local place, enjoying the company of a Scotsman (in his kilt, no less), his Irish wife, and 5 very friendly French people. We got back to our apartment shortly before midnight and joined the neighborhood celebration from our balcony! Almost every apartment had people at the window or on the balcony shouting New Year's greetings to all below on the street and to one another. Our quiet little neighborhood really showed it's spirit, which was fun to be a part of. Bonne Année to everyone on OPF!!!
