I just finished a quiet week in Paris. Never having been near the holidays, it was a treat to see the Christmas lights in each arrondissement. Several highlights: finally meeting Gail Boisclair in person, Harry's 100th anniversary, meeting Colin Field at Bar Hemingway, onion soup at Le Pied du Cochon, quiet reflective walks, the incredible Stein exhibit at Le Grand Palais, and of course mes amis, Le Shopping. Oh yes, rode the Roue, LOL! I was sorry to miss the Belleville walk, but the dreaded jet lag got me..and kept me until the day before my return home= French Fried. And incredibly, for the first time ever, I was ready to come home. Still pondering that one....

Glad that your trip was so special......in a number of ways. BTW, there's absolutely nothing wrong with being ready to come home from Paris.

Sounds lovely IODC! Especially the quiet reflective walks part ;D Just curious, did you stay in a hotel or in an apartment?

Hotel--for me, that works best for a short Paris trip.
