Though I've never been to Provence, I can imagine myself being there smelling the scent of lavenders while having tapenades. Do others like them too? I got my fix from Oliviers & Co ... absolutely love their delicacies! deuxarmoires.wordpress.com/2011/10/24/tapenades/Ok, now I'm hungry just writing this post ... off to make a tapenade.

OMG yes!! I love tapanades of all sorts and make them often, most especially in summer, when entertaining friends. I've used them as pizza toppings, additions to "special" sauces (a/k/a made up on the spur of the moment as well the usual bruschetta/appetizers. I could live on olives and be perfectly happy (Seems to me there is an old thread around here somewhere about tapenades. Anyone else remember that? )

I didn't know you can use them as "special" sauces as you mentioned. Will definitely try!
