LuckyLuc, AnneParis and I lunched at Les Ombres a while back and had a splendid time. The food is quite good (though not star-level), but the view is spectacular. I don't think I'd spend the money for dinner there, but I'd absolutely go back for lunch any day of the week!

Haven't yet gotten to the Paris part of our trip and my reports but we had a light supper there on the 11th of September. Food is a bit overpriced but if you order carefully it is OK and good food, not great, but sitting looking at the interior of the Louvre and the changing light and shadows is spectacular. It is also fun to watch the parade of self-comsciously beautiful people mostly French yuppies, fabulously dressed, probably some models and some older distinguished Frenchmen with their "daughters." Because of the way the tables on the terrace are set, very close together, you do get a lot of chances to see and even evesdrop. Not that the latter does me a lot of good when the conversation is in French.
