.....and anyone else. Ble Sucre Square Trousseau 7, rue Antoine Vollon (12th) Tél: 01 43 40 77 73 Métro: Ledru-Rollin This is the "chocolate " shop that Sandy and I visited on May 1st, which is actually a pastry shop. ..here is David Lebovitz waxing lyrical about the place. www.davidlebovitz.com/2007/05/the-best-madele/It is on the same side as the resto you took me to overlooking the square. You cannot miss it. It is not on googlemaps as it is new. Good place for elevenses!..although the coffee is just in small plastic cups, the cakes are lovely. Denise Love from England

I'll second that about the pastry - I don't remember the name of the item I had but it was divine - kind of a tart thingy with rhubarb - it was delicious! And there was a darling little girl standing near us selling Lilies of the Valley bouquets because of May 1st! The coffee wasn't that great and as Denise said, it was in tiny little plastic cups but the pastry was certainly worth the visit. I will definitely go back.

Famous last words..."you can't miss it"... Denise, I'm loathe to admit this publicly as the stretch of road you refer to is...what?...the length of maybe four or five shops? Of course I missed it. I looked and looked in January. I couldn't find it. So I gave up. Back at the apt, I had the brainstorm that maybe it was on the other side of the park. So I looked on the map, but nope. The street on the other side of the park is a different name. I think I need a GPS. Or an escort. And maybe a brain

Happy, let Google Earth be your friend. Just enter 7 rue Antoine Vollon 75012 Paris in the box where it says "flt to" hit the little magnifying glass, and Bob's your uncle. Click in the picture with the mouse and drag round the view.

Mossie....Mossie...Mossie...~sigh~. If only it were that easy. I'm on my teen amie's Mac computer and it's like trying to do everything with a blindfold on. The keyboard is placed differently; the icons are all in different places. And God forbid I actually need to attach a document to an email for a customer, something I actually could do with a blindfold on with my regular laptop. Anything more difficult than a plain old vanilla email or post will have to wait until I get my laptop next week. But thanks for trying. I'll come back to this thread next week and give Google Earth a shot.

I enjoyed a lovely tarte citrone and an espresso there this afternoon and then sat in the little park opposite the bakery to relax and read.
Thanks, Denise, I will go back for a Madeleine and the caramels soon.

Glad you enjoyed Ble Sucre - it had been on my list for a long time so I was glad that Denise and I had a chance to go there - will definitely go back!
